The Dairy

The Dairy nestles in a tranquil waterside setting amidst glorious gardens offering a haven of peaceful tranquillity where total exclusivity is guaranteed for your wedding. Breathtakingly beautiful, with architecturally elegant rooms, roaring log fires in winter and a wide terrace with two pavilions projecting out into the lake perfect for shaded summer drinks receptions. The Dairy offers a wonderfully romantic backdrop - whatever the season.

At the end of the 19th Century Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild commissioned a local firm of architects to create a Dairy to house his prize-winning herd of cattle.

The design was influenced by Marie Antoinette's farm at Versailles.

In 1989 Lord Rothschild initiated an extensive restoration programme to transform The Dairy into a stylish venue for weddings. The project also included the restoration of The Dairy's Victorian water gardens which were created by James Pulham in the 1880s.

Set in private grounds beside a series of lakes fed by a freshwater spring, The Dairy is the perfect venue for exclusive entertaining.

Our wedding team will guide you through every aspect of planning your big day. Accomplished chefs and experienced staff work together to make your wedding day truly exceptional.
